Responsible for ensuring the ongoing monitoring and maintenance of existing resilience assets across the company to ensure they are always available and ensuring a state of constant readiness is maintained, key responsibilities include;• Leading the planning and implementation of the Strategic Grid conditioning programme and critical mains. • Keeping Severn Trent in a state readiness to implement resilience assets, in particular the Birmingham resilience plan including ensuring that enabling activities stay on track and targets are delivered on time. • Manage the production of Risk and Contingency plans for conditioning plans and work with the modelling team assess activity on the network to eliminate/minimise risk of bursts and discolouration.• Restoration of existing resilience schemes / assets that are not meeting the design specification• Implementation of new resilience schemes. • Ensuring Birmingham Resilience Mode to be run every year in AMP 7 to enable the EVA outages and ensuring all required teams including Operations are prepped and ready for using assets in their Resilience mode, including BRM. Liaising with different departments to provide training and upskilling as required. • Identifying further resilience opportunities that provide benefits to our Customers from reduced Supply Interruptions and Water Quality risks

To ensure that all planned network interventions, both infra & non infra, which take place on our Water network are planned, risk assessed and delivered to SLA while maintaining our service level agreements to our customers. Each intervention is conflict managed and contains the appropriate contingency planning to ensure an effective response should the intervention fail. The work includes managing multiple, often conflicting, programme level interests which are balanced with the risk of delivery manner.The role is also accountable for the intervention approvals for the DSR cleaning programme, Asset Creation Infra & non Infra programmes (including Capital Efficiency Schemes), planned maintenance of Ops non Infra assets, Cleanest Water Plan flushing programme along with other significant interventions on our water network. The objective is to ensure compliance with the company standards around each intervention and removal of asset and customer risk from planned work. This is done by managing a team of Technical staff within the Control Centre who also provide standby cover for our Reactive Control Teams during incidents.
