Rob founded ALLBIDS, the business-to-consumer auction platform in 2002 and since then, ALLBIDS has sold over 1 million assets, and now employs over 20 staff in the Canberra warehouse alone. ALLBIDS’ mission is to reduce Australia’s ecological and carbon footprint; and forge strategic partnerships with other businesses to deal with consumption increases. It also aims to educate buyers and business in becoming more conscientious with their purchasing and disposal habits, and promote the message, ‘Re-use is the best form of recycling’. Rob’s sales and auctioneering background has ensured the company’s steady growth. As one of the country’s last truly un-reserved auction platforms, ALLBIDS provides a high level of transparency for all government and corporate clients. Since launching their online platform in 2004, their database and website have expanded to service over 300 vendors. The site averages 75,000 sales per annum and has a national database of around 85,000 buyers - 70% originating from the ACT and Southern New South Wales. The launch of ALLBIDS Cars is an exciting expansion for the company, providing a trusted sales tool for vendors and buyers to purchase quality and affordable vehicles.

Regarded as one of the best inland golf courses in the country, Royal Canberra Golf Club is host to some of the most prestigious professional and amateur tournaments.As Vice Captain, Rob is passionate about improving the entire golf club experience which is currently focused on upgrading both course and clubhouse. His role of Chairman of Greens is one he is passionate about.The recent undertaking of a $6M course makeover is one of the Club’s most daring expansion projects yet. Rob’s personal goal is to lift the course to world levels and attract the best international tournaments, ultimately lifting the city’s tourism.
