Managed 20+ direct reports over three commercial credit business areas: new credit application processing, new credit application underwriting and approval – including primary lead on financial analyses and large volume credit line underwriting and reporting, and existing credit line increase programs and maintenance. Conducted interviews, new hire calibrations, semi-annual and annual employee appraisals, monthly credit underwriting and phone call quality audits, on- and off-boarding of associates, assisted legal, regulatory and compliance teams, and led team meetings/financial statement and other associate training sessions. Became responsible for the daily credit management functions of three businesses simultaneously, managing an aggregate of over $1B in annual accounts receivable turnover. Duties included accounts receivable management, processing of new credit applications, approving new and managing existing credit lines, maintaining credit insurance policies and reporting requirements, and generating accounts receivable aging reports for discussion with senior management. Other duties included risk assessment and financial analyses and reporting for companies involved in the chemical, gas and oil industries.Prior duties included co-managing numerous daily business news publications and implementing and managing a new division focused on financial analyses and credit reports of highly volatile business segments. Also orchestrated employee and client training initiatives and generated an abundant number of new high-volume clients and recurring sources of revenue.
