Rob is a professional ecologist with over 30 years of experience in ecological consultancy and countryside management and is currently the principal partner in RDF Ecology. Rob holds full membership of the Royal Society of Biology.Rob has worked in ecological consultancy since 1993 and is an experienced field ecologist who is competent in a number of disciplines including vegetation and botanical survey including phase I, phase II and National Vegetation Classification (NVC) surveys, protected mammal surveys, ornithological surveys, reptile and amphibian surveys. Rob holds a licence for the survey of great crested newts (GCN) (Class 2) and bats (Class 1) and is one of only a small number of Registered Consultants able to utilise the GCN Low Impact Class Licence Registration process. Rob has also held licences for work with Schedule 1 protected bird species and for work with badgers.Over the last 30 years Rob has worked on ecological impact assessments for a very wide range of projects from small scale housing development projects to major infrastructure projects including highway schemes and large wind farm developments managing teams of up to 15 ecologists on larger projects.
