This summer, I was asked to become the sole member of the Thermal Engineering team for my lab, as all previous members either graduated or were promoted to larger leadership roles in the lab. For this position, I learned Thermal Desktop through AutoCAD and applied it to our satellite's analysis process. This process includes building a working 100-node model of our satellite, testing it through several possible orbits and orientations, researching previous thermal analysis papers, performing trade studies on thermal equipment, and writing the Thermal Analysis portion of our Fall 2020 Review paper.Before graduating, I was placed in charge of training all new thermal team members on AutoCAD, Thermal Desktop, and all other thermal analysis duties.The Texas Spacecraft Laboratory is a student-run lab operating at the University of Texas at Austin.

As a Structural Engineer at the Texas Spacecraft Laboratory, I am responsible to work with my team on the structural aspects of the SERPENT project. These responsibilities include using CAD for designing, using AnSys to perform vibration analysis, and using Thermal Desktop to perform thermal analysis on the spacecraft.
