About Rob Glass
I’m Rob, Founder of Make Great Video.I help individuals and teams boost their engagement by up to three times by showing them how to make great video using their smartphones.I was really lucky. I was trained by the BBC to make video single-handedly. I soon saw beyond all the camera angles and edits, and was struck by how well-made video has the power to make positive changes in the world.I set up independently, producing over 2,000 features for broadcast. In doing so, I soon saw the need for people to be able to instil such positive changes by themselves, without having to rely on video-makers like me. I saw this as a good thing…So, drawing on my time as a trainer with the BBC and as an independent practitioner, I devised a training course which takes advantage of the ludicrous simplicity of smartphones, covers the basics of filming and editing but cements it all with a firm understanding of what makes video engaging. Because without engagement, sadly all is lost…Over the past decade, working with organisations like Deloitte and Siemens along with partners such as LinkedIn Learning, I’ve trained over 80,000 students.My vision is to create and support a global community of pioneering, self-generating video content creators - stepping up the way we communicate and realising those positive changes we all set out to make.
