Since 2013 I have had the best opportunity to grow in my career imaginable to me. As the USA DAR team lead with a team of three staff and up to 10 contract supervisors we assist in managing the operational liability of Shell. I am a proven leader who enjoys getting results through the members of my team. The teams that I have lead have successfully executed projects of various sized budgets and operational complexity that abandon wells both on-shore and near shore, remove surface facilities, reclamation and remediation well sites and ancillary dispositions and manage and treat various oil field and industrial waste streams. Experience has taught me that up front project planning saves money and achieves better results in safety. I believe that risks must be clearly identified and understood then appropriately managed to a potential outcome of as low as reasonably practical. I have education and experience in: Leadership, Safety Management, Project Management, Environmental Science, Well Control, Decommissioning / Demolition as well as hazardous, nonhazardous and Dangerous Oilfield Waste (DOW) management and business management.

A DAR Superintendent is responsible for the implementation of the Shell Health Safety Security Environment & Sustainable Development (HSSE&SD) Management System. My role is to manage and reduce the operating liability of Shell. I work with stakeholders to project manage the design and execute of remediation or reclamation of onshore well sites, ancillary dispositions and surface production equipment demolition. I'm also responsibile for all financial controls and project reporting.I have knowledge in soil and groundwater assessment and remediation techniques and civil construction expertise required to restore road, lease and related developments to their original contours, function and flow. I coordinate a number of projects simultaneously across large geographical areas in United States including Texas, Colorado, Louisiana and California.I provide guidance to our Shell On-site Representatives, vendors and third party consultants. This includes developing and distributing Learning from Incident packages. Monitoring and reporting on HSSE &SD goals and tracking compliance on a weekly basis for all of my active projects. have managed diverse internal and external stakeholders including, HSSE &SD concerns, as well as public concerns, land owner and Non-governmental Agencies (NGO’s) risks and concerns related to the project and multiple vendors. This may include HAZID, HAZOP’s and SIMOP’s.A DAR superintendent assess risk and develop a culture of safety on all of my projects committed to “Goal Zero” accident and spill prevention.In the event of an incident, I investigate or assist with the investigation. The requirement for leading investigations also applies to near misses, equipment/property damage and HIPO’s and participate in root cause analysis of major incidents as required, wherever they may occur.In my role I work closely with contracting and procurement including attending Contractor Safety Management Plan audits and business performance reviews.
