Key Responsibilities• Enterprise Risk Management, Insurance and Claims• Safety Management Systems• Insurance and claimsAchievements• Design, implementation, management and reviewing all aspects of Gloucester Shire Councils Safety Management System noting that the role of Safety Officer was a new role with Council and no formal WHS systems were in place.• Perform risk assessments on all of Councils Plant and Equipment to ensure plant is fit for purpose.• Develop and review a growing library of Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), safety procedures and SOP’s for council including their formal review and approval process.• Review and prepare SWMS, Risk Assessments, Toolbox Meetings, Incident Reports, Injury Reports, Site Induction records including incident investigations to ensure Councils Continuous Improvement.
