 Business lead for build out of Lexis Nexis policy issuance system Worked to expand State Auto’s certificates of authority to all 50 States

- Met or exceeded production plan every year consistently finishing as one of the top 15 in the company - Converted an unprofitable book of Work Comp to a consistent profit center - Generated an underwriting profit 6 out of 8 years for a cumulative profit of $10.9 million. - Transitioned Eastern Regional Office commercial operations from Gahanna, Ohio to Hunt Valley, MD. This included keeping existing staff motivated and willing to train new staff. Hiring new underwriting staff in MD. - Recruited and appointed large commercial agencies - Managed agency force to achieve highest percentage of Inner Circle (SA’s top agency award) awards in the company - Developed sales tracking system to better align activities with results - Successfully implemented agency profit development programs converting several to Inner Circle status

I lead a team of 18 people, commercial lines production underwriters, commercial lines underwriters and personal lines underwriters. The position was responsible for growth and profit of property and casualty products distributed through independent agencies.

The District Manager position is responsible for leading a team of sales and underwriting representatives. The team was responsible for marketing and underwriting non standard auto products through independent agentsThe position was also responsible for product management with P&L responsibility.
