British Survey Engineer working globally, who began offshore career in 2003 in the 3D Deep Seismic industry.Since 2018 I've worked mostly with Gardline, Fugro, and N-Sea as a freelance Engineer, completing multiple Windfarm Site Survey, Rig Site Survey, UXO, and Subsea Cable Inspection projects throughout Europe. The sensors used in conducting these surveys include: Sercel streamers and Seal recording systems, GeoEel UHR streamers and recording systems, EIVA Scanfish Geowings with G-882 magnetometer arrays, Edgetech side scan sonar, sparkers with bang boxes, various gun controllers and air gun systems, Innomar SBP's.I began my survey career with CGGVeritas where I worked as a Senior Seismic Observer and Navigator. After continuing my studies with a return to University, I continued in my role as a Seismic Observer in a freelance capacity, and worked personally with department heads, HSE advisors and Party Chiefs, for various Deep Seismic Survey companies, to improve or re-write their Standard Operating Procedures for all departments onboard, and to document them in written format and as short instructional films with Offshorevideos.com. Due to the varied roles I've had in different areas of the industry, I have a very broad experience of survey operations as a whole.
