I joined GB Building Solutions in September 2014 with the intention of becoming part of a growing business, unfortunately the business went into administration in March 2015.During my time with GB my role involved tender planning on a variety of educational, commercial and residential projects of values between £5-20million.

I joined Bowmer & Kirkland in 2008, becoming part of an already established and successful bid team. My role involved both tender and contract planning on a variety of different projects of values ranging between £10million - £75million. Whilst with Bowmer & Kirkland I worked predominantly in the education, commercial and sports & leisure sectors.Some of the key projects that I worked on were St George's Park (the National Football Centre for the Football Association) and the Derby Multi-Sports Arena.

I helped establish a new Planning Department in 1996 before being promoted to Senior Planner in 1999 and given sole responsibility for the department.Over the next 9 years I helped to train and develop a number of Planners who would ultimately form the 5 strong Planning Team that I left in 2008. I was promoted to Planning Manager in 2005.The planning role encompassed both tender planning and contract planning, on a number of projects at any one time, varying in values of between £1million- £10million and in a variety of sectors such as residential and education.

I began my career with Henry Boot on a years industrial placement as part of my studies in 1989. Having successfully completed this I was offered a full-time position as a Management Trainee which I took up at the completion of my studies in 1991.Having worked through a number of different roles within the company as part of the training programme I was promoted to Assistant Site Manager in 1993.I then went on to manage a number of small projects before leaving the company in 1996.
