The key areas of my work, responsibilities and expertise at ATL include:• Supporting customer projects for blue chip and OEM clients in the automotive, motorsport, aerospace, and military sectors to ensure that project deliverables are met.• Writing, reviewing and auditing Work Processes and Work Instructions.• Delivering Continual Improvement across the quality and production teams.• Processing internal and supplier NCR’s, including the use of 5 Whys and 8D reporting to ensure root cause is identified.• Lead and manage the R&D activities to futureproof the business and test out new concepts and approaches to manufacturing.• ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 trained auditor. Management training (2022).• IMDS and PPAP experience.• Rotational Moulding and Radio Frequency (RF) welding expertise.• Writing and presenting clear reports and information for stakeholders – internal and external – upon which business decisions can be made.• Reviewing customer/end use specifications and standards as required – identify gaps, risks, validation loops etc.• Assisting the Production Manager and QC team with testing and process development/training.• Internal and supplier auditing.• Quality control of parts with hand metrology tools as required.• Prototyping.

I provide quality assurance, fault diagnosis and process problem solving services for a wide range of clients to identify product faults, their cause and to outline remediation strategies, and corrective product and process solutions.Typical industry sectors in my client portfolio include the automotive, aviation, leathergoods, legal, upholstery, garment, footwear and jewellery sectors.Areas of work specialism include raw material conformity, leather, hardware and componentry inspection, light and electron microscopy.Report writing, project management, factory and process auditing, the setting and reviewing of performance and test specifications are also key skills.I attained the industry recognised Leathersellers Certificate through study at the Institute for Creative Leather Technologies in 2013.

This varied role included the the following:-1. Managing a European CRAFT funded project to convert tannery waste into biodiesel.2. Running small research projects for a variety of leather organisations and global brands.3. Supporting training for our leather manufacturing courses. 4. Assisting the Head of Diagnostic Services on various projects.

In this role I carried out testing and reporting on a full range of leather and non-leather materials for a variety of brands, retailers, tanneries and consumers.I gained a full working knowledge of physical and performance testing of leather, and a detailed understanding of how (and to what specification) articles should be tested.Typical industry sectors I was involved with included luxury leathergoods, aviation, automotive, domestic, garment, footwear and jewellery sectors.
