I am a trusted and well-respected oil and gas executive with almost 35 years of international experience. I have 20 years of work experience in drilling, completions, workovers and production operations, nine years as a manager, 3 years as a field supervisor and 1 year as an instructor.Currently I am a proud member of the Production Plus Energy Services Team. Production Plus is an oil and gas production optimization innovator that engineers and delivers reliable artificial lift enhancing solutions to oil and gas operators. Our Horizontal Enhanced Artificial Lift System solves artificial lift challenges for horizontal wells. The HEAL System™ supports existing artificial lift systems, settling the messiness of horizontal flow and lifting fluids up to the vertical where the pump can operate reliably. It has no moving parts and benefits a well during any phase of its life cycle. The System has reduced operating costs across North America in over 15 formations with operators experiencing a material improvement in production and reserves in the order of 10 to 30 per cent.

I prepared a drilling operation in Libya including the short and long term work plans and budgets, organization charts and Tripoli office. I was responsible for presenting the work plan and budget to our partners and National Oil Company. I generated all service and material tenders and contracts and worked with lawyers to ensure approvals.

I set up Weatherford’s first turnkey drilling operation. It was an underbalanced, coiled tubing, horizontal, re-entry project consisting of 20 wells in Hassi Masoud, Algeria. This required procuring and upgrading a CTU to drill with, engineering and ordering all support services, hiring all the manpower required and preparing a budget and schedule of operations. Project was completed on time and below budget.

I managed staff, operations and engineering for the drilling operations in Western Canada and the North West Territories. I had eight direct reporting staff, six of those drilling engineers. I initiated work processes that adhered to a high level of engineering, HSE, government regulations compliance and best value. During my time there, I worked with the group to initiate a drilling to the limit process and attitude.

I managed staff, operations and budgets for a drilling rig service provider operation in Oman and the Middle East operations. This included working for PDO and maintaining a very high standard of HSE – MS. I provided turnkey drilling services for wells with the greatest depth being 4000 meters.

During my time in this role I managed staff and operations in a construction, drilling and testing environment for a Kuwait based Exploration Company in Tunisia, North Africa. We drilled five 2000-4000 meter vertical and horizontal development and exploration wells.

I was responsible for the management of staff and operations in a construction, drilling and completions environments for a very active junior exploration company. I was a key negotiator for the corporate team. I provided specifications and supervised procurement and construction of two 3 million-dollar drilling rigs. I managed the international operations in Egypt and Morocco.

I managed the construction, drilling and completions, operations and engineering, for the North Business group. This included 300-500 meter shallow gas, 1500-2500 meter intermediate and 3000-4000 meter deep plays.

My responsibilities included engineering design and implementation of drilling, completions and problem well workovers. I managed the engineering and operations as well as programming, cost estimating, procurement of services, equipment requisitions, government applications and approvals, on-site supervision and cost control. Wells included gas storage, shallow gas, heavy oil, conventional, medium and deep, gas and oil, horizontal and re-entry. I mentored AEC’s fracture simulator, Stim-Plan, analysed most of the data fracs, real time, in the field.

My focus was mentoring the engineering team (6-8 engineers) for drilling and completions on a 200-300 wells per year operation as well being the back-up for the Manager of Drilling and Completions, when required, in a department that included drilling, completions, well logging, surface land and construction.

I reviewed and revised petroleum engineering course competencies and curriculum at the Nihznevartovskneftygas Technicum in Nihznevartovsk, Russia.

I instructed courses to 180 students in Reservoir Engineering, Geology and Geostatistics in the Petroleum Engineering Technology Department.

In my role I was responsible for the engineering design and implementation of new well completions and problem well workovers. My responsibilities include programming, cost estimating, procurement of services, equipment requisitions, government applications and approvals, on-site supervision and cost control. Have substantial experience in Critical Sour completions and workovers and was ESSO’s horizontal completions authority.

I supervised the daily operation of a miscible flooded, artificial gas lift, oil pool. This involved supervising workovers as well as four wellsite supervisors, extensive wireline work, fracturing, acidizing and repair of flowlines and the general co-ordination of the six field operators on a daily basis. I was involved in budgeting, cost control and personnel evaluations.

I prepared and executed recompletion and workover programs and optimised production on a daily basis in a miscible flooded oil pool. This included gas, solvent and water injection as well as oil production. My responsibilities also included evaluating, pilot testing and implementing field wide, an artificial lift mechanism, which was gas lift.

I maintained drilling and completion fluids, on location, on a daily basis. Responsibilities included testing fluids, recommending maintenance required and inventory and cost control.
