Cyber Security course. During this course students learn how to launch attacks in a safe environment, and mitigate attacks using firewalls and IDS.I also delivered a course on digital investigations to a delegation of Police officers from overseas. The course covered a wide range of topics including; computer security, digital forensics and computer networks In addition to this I delivered a training course on CCTV forensics to law enforcement officers in Abu Dhabi on behalf of the university.I was the technical lead and regional coordinator for the ECentre project (www.ecentre.eu), as part of this role I collaborated with a number of academic, industrial and governmental partners from across the U.K. and Europe. This EU funded project was researching and developing software solutions and training to enhance the regions ability to react to and prevent cyber crime.
I researched and developed solutions for the forensic analysis of cloud computing environments.While carrying out my studies I worked as part of a university spin out company that collaborated with law enforcement to develop software tools.I also helped to create and deliver the Network Forensics module taught to MSc. students at the university.
