Designed and implemented a Data Cataloguing and Loading solution using ArcGIS and Python to support a major railways infrastructure project. The solution performed automated checks on GIS data received from the client, data loading into ArcSDE and also cataloguing of additional metadata in a SQL server database. Also included were automated reporting of new data received via email according to data topic/discipline e.g. Design, Environment etc, as well as an ASP.Net web application, mainly written in client side code (JavaScript) deployed in Sharepoint, which allowed for querying of the SQL Server Catalogue. The application also included an inset map window using the ArcGIS JavaScript API. Also wrote several ArcGIS tools in Python to support automated CAD and PDF conversion, Mastermap and Addressbase extraction to support disciplines such as Construction Logistics, Ecology, Noise and Vibration on major infrastructure projects.
