I am the President and Founder of NCL, offering an industry leading progressive care model, to meet the ever-changing needs of today’s increasingly active and discerning retirement home resident. I’ve led teams that created significant retirement projects in Calgary Alberta, Richmond and Surrey BC (www.ncl.ca). It is also my pleasure to have served as an MLA for Richmond Centre and a Councillor for the City of Richmond. Volunteering has been a commitment having co-chaired the Richmond Christmas Fund, co-chaired the REIBC Vancouver Chapter, served on the board of Richmond Caring Place, served as President of Tourism Richmond, and assisted and coached minor hockey for twelve years. I am also a founding board member and past president of the Richmond Community Coalition.

Three times elected to City Council.Served on Most Committee's.Chair of the Finance Committee, Public Works Committee and Community Safety Committee: Elected to the Executive, 1st Vice President of the Lower Mainland Local Government Association, and Chaired the Regional Transportation Committee. During this time I was a driving force behind several initiatives, including The RAV Rapid Transit Task Force (now Canada Line), and the City's long term financial plan. Also, I sat on many committees including the Olympic Oval Building Advisory Committee and the Mayor's Blue Ribbon Economic Round Table.

As a member of the Executive Management Committee, participated in setting overall direction for one of the most innovative Credit Unions in the Province. Held specific responsibilities for new branch development and other real estate assets. Held a myriad of positions over 19 years including Commercial Lending, Internal Audit and Data Processing Management.
