In day to day overall responsibility for the running over Simplex Westpile Ltd. This includes control of admin, estimating, design, commercial and operations. Also liaising with Safety, HR, quality and Environmental. Preparation of monthly accounts and board reports.

Part-time (three days a week) voluntary work in the church office at Warrington Baptist Church (assisting the minister in training) and also the office of the Older Peoples Forum - Warrington, administering website, IT & network systems. Coaching OPF members in computer techniques, preparing funding applications and general administration work.

Responsible for all aspects of piling from Midlands through North of England to Scotland from initial enquiry stage (discussing with estimators on rig type/production etc) to agreeing final account. This has involved writing/reviewing some works procedures, ensuring all works is carried out as per company procedures and quality plan, audits, closing out non-conformances and corrective actions etc to clients satisfaction. This has been predominantly CFA piling for bearing piles, contiguous piled walls and secant walls but has also included mini-piling, rotary bored piling, vibro works and slurry walls. Recent major projects have included the Alderley Edge Bypass (with Birse Civils & Cheshire East Council which involved a £1.3 million slurry wall together with £250,000 secant wall and sundry geotechnical works) and Fleetwood Waste Water Treatment Works (with KMI and United Utilities which involved £1.2 million of displacement CFA piling, secant wall and minipiles). Northern turnover for 2008 was £19.7 million spread between three contracts managers, having grown from £3.5million in 1995.

Responsible for CFA, tripod and driven piling works in Northern England, Wales and Scotland from pre-contract meeting to agreeing final account. Annual turnover in area £1.5 to 2.0 million.

Responsible for all aspects of work from initial enquiry stage through to agreeing final accounts for contracts throughout Northern England involving all types of piling (CFA, Tripod, Rotary, Pre-cast and Shell) and with values up to £1.8 million. Duties have included computer analysis of instrumentation / data loggers fitted to piling rigs and also implementation of quality control procedures. During first eighteen months also included planning, site supervision, testing and valuations for ground / rock anchors and mini-piling works throughout the UK.
