Worked under Boston Area Director of Finance at the largest hotel in Boston. Managed all day-to-day operations of the finance office including: ensuring accounts receivables meet company standards (95% or above), Purchase Order processes are met by all departments, all payroll guidelines are followed, all cash handling processes are in place and adhered to, and prepare all P&L reports as required by hotel. Reports include but are not limited to: month-end balance sheet reconciliations, updating forecasts, ownership reports and P&L analysis. Managed finance team that consists of 10 full-time associates which includes development of high potential candidates for future leadership roles. Conducted bi-weekly labor review meetings with department heads to ensure adherence to forecast and reduction of overtime. Additional responsibilities include preparing annual budget, rolling out new corporate financial policies and procedures hotel-wide.

Westin Copley Place

Managed finance team that consisted of 7 full-time associates which includes developing team members for future leadership roles. Conducted weekly labor review meetings with department heads to ensure adherence to weekly forecast and to resolve any outstanding labor related issues from prior week. Boston Park Plaza Hotel

Worked with leadership team as a change management agent when property transitioned from Starwood Hotels and Resorts to Highgate Hotels in 2011. Created and updated needed financial reports for two hotel management entities. Some reporting responsibilities include month-end balance sheet reconciliations, updating forecasts, and performing P&L analysis. Responsible for ensuring all departments met labor guidelines and conducted weekly labor review meetings to that end. Managed accounting team that consisted of 9 full-time associates including hiring, progressive discipline, and terminations. Ensured accounts receivables maintained aging above 90%. As a Six Sigma Certified Green Belt, affected change through the implementation and management of Six Sigma Projects. Awarded Manager of 1st quarter 2007.
