Sports marketing and event management specialist with over 25 years experience staging major televised international events globally. Industry lead bringing football, golf, basketball, adventure racing, running and non-sports event properties, clients and partnerships to APAC for IMG and Manchester United. Worked closely with partners such as the LPGA, the Asian Tour, the Premier League, federations and local partners, event management and TV production teams to stage over 100 events including many firsts across 12 different Asian countries. Highlights include the Premier League Asia Trophy 2019 in China - four PL teams and two cities for the first time (Nanjing and Shanghai) and the 2017 sell-out in Hong Kong; the LPGA tour into Taipei (2012) and then China, (Beijing) in 2013; the Colour Runs - various Asian markets from 2012; Tiger Woods exhibitions in China and the Philippines (2001); Liverpool and Real Madrid in Hong Kong (2003); Skins events in Bali, Singapore, India and China (2001-4) the CJ Nine Bridges LPGA full field event in Korea (2001); an international adventure raft race on the Ganges (2001) and the limited field Johnnie Walker Super Tour (1996, 1997, 1998) - 4 rounds in four countries in 6 days. Two areas that have become a personal passion are sustainability and risk management of Asian events - leading to completing courses in recent years:2019 - Cambridge Business Sustainability Management Course - University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.2018 - Safe Management of International Live Events - IOSHOriginally studied Sport and Physical Education at college before joining the British Army in 1988, serving with The Royal Regiment of Wales and the Royal Gurkha Rifles before leaving the army in Hong Kong in 1996.
