Staying Alive is an eight hour lecture presentation that goes above today's traditional lesson taught at the basic firefighter certification. This presentation uses fire dynamics and scientific studies to bring safety and awareness to all firefighters. Regardless if you are a six-month probationary firefighter or a thirty-year senior command officer, this presentation is for you. Why? Because fire dynamics play a major role in Line of Duty Deaths and it is time to reduce those numbers. This presentation will equip firefighters and officers with the research-based knowledge for Staying Alive.

I have logged over 1,000 hours of instruction which includes both classroom lesson planning and hands-on evolutions (including live fire training). I am responsible for safely commanding new recruits, as well as experienced firefighters, through finely organized training.

As a firefighter/EMT for the past 16 years, I have, as a member of a highly trained team, provided life saving fire and ems services to the citizens of Boardman Twp. I also provided weekly training to the members of Boardman Fire Department.
