Digital Pr SpecialistJbh - The Content Agency May 2017 - Jun 2018Northampton, United KingdomAs Digital PR Specialist, my role was to manage accounts, as well as the internal process between the design team and senior management. Whilst at JBH, I also worked on a number of new business pitches, as well as having an excellent client retention rate. A huge achievement of mine at JBH was our award winning campaign we carried out for a local charity to get young BAME people into work. The piece was picked up and placed across national news, and went on to win a number of awards, including The International Content Marketing Awards (Gold and Silver). -
Pr/Marketing ExecutiveStik Chik Agency Jul 2016 - May 2017Northampton, United KingdomAt SC Agency, I worked closely with a wide range of clients, managing PR and marketing campaigns, as well as creating web content and running the various social media accounts. I spent a lot of my time with the in-house design team, working on concepts and ideas for our clients. Working in each of these areas allowed me to gain a lot of experience, including copywriting and well-designed graphics for our clients to use. Working with SME’s and across a range of sectors, really helped me to understand the fundamental areas of a marketing campaign and how they’re implemented. From small independent companies to larger, multi-site organisations, I worked closely with business owners to make sure they had the a clear marketing strategy, as well as advising on the current business climate and for any potential opportunities. -
Regional Media ExecutiveGlobal Radio Aug 2014 - Jul 2016Milton Keynes, United KingdomWhilst at Global, I became an integral part of the CPT (Creative Partnership Team) and looked at the creation and administration of marketing campaigns. Our campaigns would often be comprised of radio and online marketing as well as experiential advertising (OOH). From working on the initial ideas, I also project managed and made sure all the necessary work was carried out, which allowed the creative campaigns to run without hitches. I thoroughly enjoyed being able to take part in the whole process, from the initial client meeting/pitch to the brainstorm, the delivery, and completion of the campaign.Working with the Regional Creative Directors and Managing Editors, I was able to pick up valuable information on how marketing campaigns work and some great ways of looking at particular projects.Further to my job role, I also helped out with Global’s charity - Make Some Noise, and was chosen to be the broadcast centre's Charity Officer. In this role, I helped come up with ideas and organise charity events and made sure my colleagues knew what was going on and what they could do to help out. During my time as Charity Officer, I ran the office tuck-shop which raised over £1,000. -
Producer & PresenterRadiolab University Radio Oct 2012 - May 2015University Of BedfordshireWhilst at University, I produced and presented a number of shows and also helped the management team to ensure the smooth running of the station. I presented ‘The Afternoon Breakfast Show’ and also a number of ‘specialist music’ shows, whilst also being part of a breakfast show with two co-hosts. My show aimed at covering; current events, entertaining* chat and some fun and games, whilst also getting lecturers and members of the student body to take part. During my time at RadioLab, I secured a number of outside broadcasts which meant communicating with local press, and event organisers to arrange passes to events. I had a great time at RadioLab and although it was fun and a hobby whilst at Uni, I learnt so much and showed excellent leadership qualities which was noted by the whole management team and fellow presenters. A highlight would definitely be inviting voice over legend, Peter Dickson to the studio for an interview, he was excellent and even recorded some adverts for us.*Well, I thought it was entertaining anyway!

Marketing ExecutiveSafeer Hotel Group Sep 2009 - Dec 2009Muscat Governorate, OmanWhilst in Oman, I learnt so much about myself and also the world of business. At 19, I moved to Oman and began networking and using my self-motivation to get out and make my trip a success. My role at Safeer was to visit companies with European connections and create a relationship that would hopefully result in them booking our hotel when they had colleagues or clients visiting. During my three months in Oman, I’d made some great connections and even attended the lavish birthday party set up for the Sultan himself, though he didn’t attend. Seeing how business is carried out on a different continent, with different cultures and beliefs was extremely beneficial to me and really carved out the path in which I needed to take. Whilst in Oman, I started writing and enquiring with Universities back in the UK, with the view of coming home and getting a degree in Public Relations. After a little over three months, I arrived back at home and began my 'Access to Business' college course.

Regional Training And SalesUk Biometrics Ltd Nov 2007 - Feb 2009Swansea, United KingdomWhilst at UKB, my duties included the day to day running of the office; managing tele-sales staff and helping to secure appointments for senior management. After succeeding in this role, I gained promotion. I would now spend the majority of my time out of the regional office and meeting with prospective clients whilst still maintaining my presence with senior management in helping with targeting strategies. I achieved great success within this role and managed to secure some large contracts, I also had various ideas that had a resounding impact on the company’s image and profit margins.

Parts AdvisorLand Rover Feb 2006 - Oct 2007This was my first ‘proper’ job, I was 16 and started as a Parts Apprentice at Stratstone Land Rover. I began a three year Land Rover apprenticeship with would see me visit the Head Office for one week every month where we covered a number of areas including; health and safety, product replenishment and management. After 8 months in the job, the management team noted that I already reached the level needed to be a Parts Advisor, so I no longer visited Head Office and was duly promoted. I was extremely proud of this and continued to work as an advisor for another year, managing stock levels and becoming an essential member of the after sales team.
