In charge of managing deck crew and riggers during cargo operations, mooring / anchoring and general deck maintenance.

Second Mate (Navigator/ Operations Officer)•Duties: Managed navigation department; created voyage plans; maintained all navigational equipment; conducted navigation briefs prior to departure from or arrival to port; constructed in port watch bills; ordered and corrected charts; coordinated replenishment operations with US Naval assets.
