In the role of Service Coordinator I was responsible for Service and inspection services for the province of Newfoundland. My Duties included but were not limited to Scheduling Inspections of the 3 major fire control services offered by SimplexGrinnell (Sprinkler, Fire Alarm, and Fire Suppression). Also uploading reports to database and issuing certificates of compliance to customers. I also took calls for service and dispatched technicians in a timely and coordinated manner to resolve customer issues. I produced purchase orders and received stock. I coordinated the schedules and time sheets of approximately 15 Technicians. I coordinated with sales staff to accommodate new customers as well as new construction projects like the new Long Term Care facility in St. John’s. Coordinated and fulfilled government tenders.

In the role of Logistics and Traffic Controller I was responsible for providing services to over 7000 customers in the Metro region area of St. John’s. My duties included but were not limited to Scheduling/Maintaining the daily routes for each driver, completion of routes at the end of business day, scheduled customer requests, completing driver productivity reports for payroll bonuses. Arranging removal and disposal of hazardous materials. Liaising with city and provincial government officials, to ensure safe and proper disposal practices are followed. This is a very fast paced and demanding field of work. I have had to think on my feet to arrange solutions for customers in very short time frames. The job involves multi-tasking at all times.
