At Rivian I build and lead teams in Engineering and Reliability and delivered a best in class, unified, integrated Security Platform. We migrated from a legacy system to an integrated platform that unifies access control, digital video, identity management, incident management, digital evidence management and is supplemented with an AI computer vision layer. Data from these systems goes through an ETL to the data lake to allow enrichment and cross platform reporting. This delivers valuable business intelligence to cross functional partners in real estate, occupancy and planning, culinary, engagement and people partners.Through integration and data extraction we achieved a one credential approach, with a single credential used to authenticate into multiple business systems.Expanding the scope of the security systems allowed us to achieve 4X savings to the business by bringing managed, standardized, federated digital video to other teams that can use the data for optimization.
