Teaching Leadership and Management of Public Organizations (PAD 302)

~Manage the Illinois Angel Investment Tax Credit Program and the New Markets Development Program. ~Ensure the Illinois entrepreneurial ecosystem meets the dynamic needs of all stakeholders.~Oversee a suite of programs in support of entrepreneurs and small businesses in Illinois. This includes the SBDC, ITC and PTAC Networks, Regulatory Flexibility and SBEAP programs. ~Manage the daily operations of the FIRST STOP Business Information Center.

Served in a senior leadership role at the college; collaborated with various offices to ensure student success.Directed the Records Office and all services related to advising and registration. Managed full- and part-time staff of student service professionals.Developed educational programs for students/staff to ensure strategic goals of office are achieved. Worked to ensure student data is accurately collected and recorded. Oversaw the College Commencement ceremony and all ancillary events.

Courses taught include American Government, State and Local Politics, Introduction to Political Science, Introduction to Sociology, Marriage and Family and College Success Skills.

Developed and delivered high quality training and technical assistance programs to diverse groups. Directed over $50 million annually in federal and state educational projects.Worked with college system to ensure program accountability data is understood and utilized. Directed assessment & evaluations projects, including performance monitoring and program auditing. Supervised the ICCB Career and Technical Education Program Team.

Directed college efforts to acquire external funding to support programs and projects that furthered the institutional mission and goals. Established grant development policies that facilitated the operations of the office.

Managed and directed statewide delivery of technical programs.Developed and delivered training programs on a wide range of topics.Coordinated on-site assessment reviews and compliance visits.

Directed educational consortium to enhance and improve education programs in central Illinois.

Managed college academic assistance/placement testing center, directed at-risk student programs and served as Retention Committee Chair.Served as a principal advisor to the Provost and a member of the Academic Council.
