Rob Lane is a twenty-five year legal and insurance industry veteran. Rob guides companies of all sizes through the challenges of insuring the toughest, most complex, and highly specialized risks. Rob’s unique skills and experience enable him to work closely with Alliant’s clients’ senior management and Alliant’s Broking teams in designing and effectuating appropriate risk management and risk-transfer strategies. In addition to his placement and production roles, Rob provides coverage advisory and claims resolution services across all lines of coverage. Rob supplements traditional broker claim services and complements outside counsel to provide Alliant’s clients with a unique, highly effective and relationship-preserving alternative to costly litigation or arbitration. In his career, Rob has facilitated the recovery of over US$3 billion in contested insurance coverage.Rob is recognized as a leading expert on Bermuda Market practices and, specifically, the intricacies of the now global “Bermuda Form.” Rob’s expertise, market presence and reputation for zealous, but commercially practical, negotiations enabled him to forge the strong professional relationships with senior insurer personnel required to achieve resolution of even the most contested claims.Rob is also a cancer survivor committed to the support of others facing that same challenge and is actively involved in charitable efforts to fund research towards advances in cancer research.
