Park Operations, Thompson Park Headquarters. Assist with various projects assigned by Park Superintendent and Assistant Director. Assigned to maintain Building Inventory Database, write contracts and specs for projects, assist with demolition projects, and other tasks as assigned.

• Administration, Personnel and Volunteer Support – Recruits, selects, trains, supervises and evaluates all part-time staff and volunteers. Performs on-site inspection of parks and recreation areas and facilities to identify maintenance, repair or replacement needs and helps to prioritize park development and renovation projects. Oversees the management of the Borough swimming pool and the rental of Borough recreation facilities.• Recreation Programs and Services - Oversees creation, design, marketing, scheduling, delivery and quality of a variety of community special events and recreation, athletic, and instructional programs and services for residents of all ages. • Budgeting and Financial Management – Prepares and recommends the yearly Parks and Recreation Department budget for • Community and Public Relations

Hibernia County Park and Springton Manor Farm 2010-present• Management responsibilities of the Departments largest county park, Hibernia 1200 acres and management responsibilities of Springton Manor Farm, a historic demonstration farm.• Safety and Security Activity Manager for Departments Strategic Business Plan.• Management of all Special Activities Agreements.• Large event planning and execution for The Old Fiddlers Picnic, Sheep and Wool Day.• Responsible for preservation and maintenance of the Historic Hibernia Mansion.• Work with the Friends of Hibernia Park and the Friends of Springton Manor Farm, nonprofit volunteer groups, who conduct special events, fund raising, and historical preservation.• 2010 Cost analysis of Fish Nursery operation that saved the Department $16,000 annually.• Created self registration camping system to offset staffing reductions but maintain level of customer service.Nottingham County Park and Wolf's Hollow County Park 2007-2010• Overall management responsibilities for two regional park sites, Nottingham County Park 651 acres and Wolf’s Hollow County Park 569 acres.• Oversaw annual planning and execution for Departments largest special event, Freedom Fest Fireworks and Concert, with average annual visitation around 12,000.• Infrastructure and Grounds Activity Manager for Departments Strategic Business Plan.• Finalized plan to see Nottingham County Park Serpentine Barrens designated as a National Natural Landmark by the U.S. Department of the Interior.• Coordinated volunteer groups to restore the serpentine barrens savannah.• Coordinated phase one construction and opening of newest regional park Wolf’s Hollow County Park.• Oversaw deer management and prescribed burn operations at Nottingham County Park.

Hibernia County Park 2004-2007• General duties included providing a safe environment for park visitors, development of interpretive programs, hiring, training, and certifying of part time Park Rangers, monthly scheduling and reports, and assisting with budgetary planning.• Developed and coordinated Hibernia Outdoor Adventures, a new Departmental special event.• Responsible for emergency action planning for Old Fiddlers Picnic, Chester County Envirothon and other special events held in Hibernia County Park.• Coordinator of Hibernia County Park’s deer and goose management programs.• Responsible for writing Special Activities Agreements for such events as the Boy Scout and Girl Scout Camporees, GOALS Adventure Race, Tail Blazers Dog Show, and Greater Philadelphia Search and Rescue Training.• Coordinated with Brandywine Bassmasters Club to build and install a floating dock, that assists boaters with launching and retrieving boats on Chambers Lake.• Member of the Chester County Prescription Burn Crew. • OC spray Instructor for Regional Park Rangers.
