Started as a young sailor learning electrical systems. After serving our country I chose to join Union Pacific Railroad to bring my experience to the forefront in a fast paced environment. Working as an diesel electrician for several years, and earning my Computer Science degree while working full time, I decided to try my hand as a supervisor. Leading and carrying forward the days plan came natural and I picked up the job quickly. Having all the prior experience on the floor made me understand the expectations of the job and succeed. Finally after a year or so of that I was promoted to Foreman General I at the diesel shop. I was in charge of the day to day plans and setting the expectations for our shop as a whole. Promoting safety and leading by example is a must at this level. I pride myself in a servant leadership style that builds more open communication between myself and those that work for me.Unfortunately my railroad career was stalled due to a mass layoff and shop closure brought on by operation streamlining efforts. This didn’t keep me from moving forward. In February I joined Hydeman as a field service technician. There I work with other technical experts spanning the entire Midwest repairing and servicing all kinds of financial equipment. The challenge lied in learning a new field with banking and other institutions lingo. The maintenance of these machines i.e. ATMs and cash recyclers came naturally from my background. I look forward to learning more and becoming a leader within the company.
