•Comprehensive experience handling all aspects of WSIB/Worker’s Compensation claims including: -Completion of accident/illness reporting forms -Development of modified work plans and offer of same to workers -Monitor the success of the RTW plan and adjust as required based on medical -Facilitate WSIB Return to Work (RTW) meetings when needed -Correspondence with WSIB, company physician’s, worker’s treating physician’s and insurance companies and documentation of same• Administer dexterity testing for potential new hire candidates• Ensure job coaching for associates where needed • Assist the Human Resources Management team with developing, implementing and maintaining Safety, Health & Wellness and other related Company initiatives • Assist in developing training programs• Development and maintenance of H&S policies and standards• Directly address worker Health, Safety and Wellness complaints and concerns • Promote Health & Wellness philosophies and policies • Promote and achieve associate wellness and injury prevention • Lead/participate in: -Incident/accident investigations, -JHSC inspections -Daily walk through inspections -Workplace violence, bullying and harassment investigations• Meet with and assist with Ministry of Labour (MOL) investigations• Provide weekly reports and monthly reports within required deadlines for Corporate Safety Manager and Director of Human Resources• Keep accurate safety statistics on all classifications of work related incidents such as first aids, near misses, reportables and lost time• Provided in-house training on topics such as: -Forklifts (classroom theory portion only) -Lockout/Tagout -Hotwork -Respirator Fit Testing -WHMIS 1988 (basic awareness of WHMIS 2015 also) -New Hire orientation•Heavily involved in Safety Groups Rebate Program under the WSIB•Last 2 audits resulted in scores of 85% and 100% respectively•Purchasing of safety equipment
