A heat pump makes green energy a breeze...A Daikin Altherma air-to-water heat pump uses latent heatfrom the outside air to warm a home’s central heating and hotwater system. Even when it’s freezing outside, a Daikin Althermaair-to-water heat pump can extract heat from the air.For every kilowatt of electricity the heat pump uses, it generatesabout 3-4 kilowatts of renewable heat from the air. Over thecourse of a year, it’s up to 300% efficient (even the most efficientfossil fuel boiler is less than 100% efficient).Trust us: the future of heating is here.The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) is a UK Government scheme set up to encourage uptake of renewable heat technologies amongst householders, through financial incentives. It is the first of its kind in the world and the UK Government expects the RHI to contribute towards the 2020 ambition of 12% of heating coming from renewable sources.The domestic RHI was launched on 9th April 2014 and provides FINANCIAL SUPPORT to the owner of the renewable heating systemfor seven years. The scheme covers England, Wales and Scotland and is targeted at UK households.The UK Government's Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) makes key policy decisions and energy regulator Ofgem E-Serve administers the scheme.
