Recruited into an entirely new role as a member of the Divisional Management Team responsible for 20 restaurants in Central London • Tasked with improving financial reporting in order to increase profitability, whilst alsoimproving transparency and understanding of financial performance at Group Board level –key initiatives and responsibilities include:o Development of a new suite of weekly KPI reportso Financial modelling in relation to all restaurant acquisitions and disposalso Working with Divisional MD to produce annual budget and operational strategyo Quarterly re-forecastingo Designing incentive schemes and authorising senior pay awardso Generating improved margins through detailed analysis of product mix and leadingthe financial aspects of supplier tendering processeso Input into pricing policy and ensuring accuracy of EPOS systemo Variance analysis and commentary for Divisional Management Teamo Presenting financial analysis to Group Board and Shareholders• Project managed the devolution of finance function from Group Shared Service Centre, inorder to create stand alone Division – core tasks and responsibilities include:o Recruitment and training of a new finance team of 6 direct line reportso Overseeing production of monthly management accounts and balance sheetreconciliationso Producing annual stat packs and liaising with auditorso Review and approval of weekly and monthly payrollo Stock management and reportingo Review and authorisation of VAT returnso Overseeing management of the purchase ledger and maintaining supplierrelationshipso Ensuring adherence to daily cash management procedures

• Experience of more than 15 completed transactions resulting in fees to the Firm of £4m• Wide range of experience; both buy and sell side roles, public and private companies, debt raising and restructuring and new equity raising• Speciality in consumer business sector – clients include Carpetright, Proctor & Gamble, Coffee Nation, Bannatyne Fitness, Pride Valley Foods and Arthouse• Project managing transactions on a day to day basis• Controlling high quality document production – information memoranda, management presentations and exit papers• Managing challenging timetables• Mandating other service providers such as legal and due diligence• Leading meetings and negotiations with lawyers, banks, clients and bidders• Business diagnostic skills – essential in producing and evaluating business plans• Building and reviewing fully integrated financial models• Performing business valuations• Reviewing due diligence reports• Knowledge of the UK Listing Rules and AIM Rules

• Managing a portfolio of 15 audit clients, with recurring fees of £300k• Managing and reviewing the work of audit teams• Production and review of Statutory Accounts including compliance with FRSs• Working to tight reporting deadlines for both public and private companies• Coordinating the work of other internal departments such as tax and internal audit• Experience in systems and controls work including Sarbannes-Oxley reviews• Liaising with other professional advisors such as solicitors, actuaries and bankers• Presenting audit letters and reports to Audit Committees• Controlling billing and cash collection
