I was responsible for shaping and executing the supply chain strategy across three sites. I oversaw the planning team, stock management, warehousing, logistics and procurement teams and played a pivotal role in new system development, ensuring seamless operations and alignment with corporate objectives. Wilson George Group is an organisation with multiple entities and there was a strong emphasis on internalising supply chains where possible to improve the profitability of all entities. In this role, I implemented external cost saving initiatives, resulting in a 20% reduction in COG’s and significant cost savings in excess of £1.5m. I led cross-functional initiatives to optimize inventory levels, improve demand forecasting, and strengthen supplier relationships, which helped increase service levels at both ends of the supplychain and reduce costs.My leadership fostered a culture of continuous improvement, where team members were empowered and motivated but most importantly enjoyed their employment. I also played a crucial role in planning and executing with minimal business interruptions numerous site relocations including moving the complete manufacturing hub and distribution warehouse.
