Rob is a founding Partner and architect at MAP. His experience ranges from small scale community outreach projects to large cultural and education projects. Over the last 9 years he has worked in a range of different countries including Nicaragua, Uganda, the UAE and the UK. He has a passion for the built environment, especially projects which have a wider impact on society, education and culture. Rob studied architecture at Northumbria University (Part I) in Newcastle, the University of Sheffield (Part II) and RIBA North West (Part III). Since qualifying Rob has worked in London on a mix of Education, Residential and Cultural Projects. In 2017 Rob left Stride Treglown to form a practice with Matt Parker, an architect and good friend. Rob and Matt met in 2010 during their Masters in Architecture at the University of Sheffield. It was their strong sense of motivation and passion for making that led them to Nicaragua to build their first project, the Balgue Community Centre. Since then, they have continued to collaborate on a number of voluntary projects and private commissions, while independently gaining experience working for highly regarded architectural practices in London.Rob is an avid gardener, cyclist / runner and is never more than 100m away from a BBQ.
