I had the opportunity to transfer to a sister Gannett property in my hometown. The responsibilities are similar to the ones at the Mansfield News Journal. I cover a region that include 11 school districts, plus a city of roughly 30,000 people in north central Ohio, writing game stories, features, columns and breaking news when it happens, plus producing content for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram as well as producing videos and photos.

Coverage of motorsports, non-traditional sports, Ohio State men's basketball and high school sports for a mid-sized daily newspaper and website.Responsibilities included brainstorming ideas, planning stories, reporting, data collection, executing various forms of writing such as game stories, features, columns and breaking news, editing and proofreading and meeting constant deadline pressures.Outside the realm of sports, I was tasked with large projects that resulted in series of stories on varied news topics. Over the years I acquired social media skills as well as video production skills and am familiar with branding, either personally or corporately.
