As Lowell's SAS Platform Admin I'm tasked with managing the effective provision of the SAS Environment e.g. Security, Load Balancing reviews, scheduled batch job checks & troubleshooting, creating and administering new and existing data libraries, releases to the environment and any platform upgrades and/or patching.I'm also tasked with:• Developing and maintaining internal applications.• Preparing and presenting materials for training opportunities within the business.• Assisting with decisions during the analysis phase and requirement gathering• Support and improve the business utilization of SAS Business Analytics• Ensuring that Best Practice for SAS is integrated in support of Solutions Management policies and procedures• Main point of contact alongside the Senior SAS Developer for all matters relating to SAS, both External and Internal• Engaging in the SAS Community and feed this back to the SAS Users.• Providing consultation on matters relating to the SAS infrastructure & provide comprehensive ‘How To’ documentation on SAS administration tasks• I’ve also developed skills as a SQL database administrator whilst performing this role, becoming comfortable with database backups, database restores & applying the SQL security & permissions model.

• I designed and ran reports using SAS Enterprise Guide to enable identification of potential process enhancements, customer behaviours & monetary gains otherwise being lost.• I identified and delivered trace process automation opportunities using analysis on data extracted from ad-hoc reports built in SAS & SQL • I analysed and summarised big data in order to draw effective conclusions on key business decisions & customer behaviours e.g. trace strategy effectiveness & resource planning. I then presented these conclusions to key stakeholders in the business to aid their decisions on trace systems going forward along with a full single customer view.• I built and ran MI reports using SAS and excel to enable trends to be identified and investigated.• I assisted in the testing and implementation of the SAS trace process system enhancements i developed.• I provided any ad-hoc analysis required by the Head of Operations & the Chief Operations Officer primarily using SAS & SQL.

• As an MI Analyst I applied advanced data extraction techniques on systems such as SAS & SQL. I had to adhere to the set deadlines, with detailed results to enable business continuity.• I was also part of a team who helped drive the development and delivery of accurate Management Information reporting on a daily, monthly and quarterly basis to the Retail Network.
