Responsible for Sales, Service and Operations of 210 stores through leading, coaching and mentoring 11 District Managers in the Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina area. Some of the most notable turnaround success I had during these two years in position were top in the company in Net Profit, Gross Margin and Conversion of shoppers to buyers through exceptional customer service teams.

I was appointed to keep District Manager team of the SE Area focused on inventory control, expense controls with cash and workforce improvements across 1200 stores located from Virginia through the Caribbean. I was also responsible to lead business reviews quarterly of 55 District Managers on a quarterly basis including P&L review, expense improvement tracking and store assessment quality/quantity.

Promoted from District Manager and assigned to lead the development of a new in-store customer experience at RadioShack, manage the project and roll out to 4500 stores and 35,000 associates nationwide. These responsibilities included securing the funding for the project, selection of consulting company, leadership of a team of 8 MBAs to the testing phase and roll out of the new customer experience in a coordinated effort reporting to two separate corporate executives - EVP HR and EVP Stores. I wrote and recorded multiple training videos, launched a national top down training seminar and helped introduce a new customer centric selling process to all stores in the continental U.S.

I was promoted from DM to SDM to test a new concept of leading a team twice the size of an average district (28-30 stores) by assembling a cabinet of positions around me that would specialize in critical areas of the business. I wrote descriptions for, hired, trained, and lead an Assistant DM, Operations Manager, Human Resource Manager, and Admin to a successful turnaround of two of the lowest performing districts within the company. In early 2003 the district was notably rated #6 out of 250 districts nationwide.

Multi-unit leadership of 28 stores vested in performance management, human resource development, recruiting, staffing and scheduling and profitable sales growth.

Responsible for growing multiple stores in these 7 years including running a premier warehouse location prior to being promoted to DM in 1993. Cities included; Belpre, Athens, Zanesville, Lancaster and Groveport Ohio. In this time I earned an appointment to the prestigious President's Counsel (top 100 managers out of 4500 stores) two years consecutively.
