Commander- Chief Executive Officer- responsible for the command, control and coordination of an Aviation Battalion, consisting of over 400 Soldiers and 30 UH-60 Helicopters. Led the unit through multiple missions during both peacetime and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Responded to a multitude of exigent operations as directed by the Adjutant General of Virginia, the Governor of Virginia and the President. Ensured safety standards were upheld through rigorous Risk Management procedures. -Executed over 14,000 flight hours without loss during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2006.-Led a the Battalion during combat operations; unit awarded a Navy Unit Commendation and the Army Aviation Association of America Unit of the Year Award
