Working on new construction and retrofit projects in commercial buildings, hospitals, and industrial facilities. Perform complex integrations and oversees Building Automation System (BAS) installations and upgrades.Key Tasks & ResponsibilitiesAssumes overall financial, schedule, and technical responsibility for assigned control projects.Leads project teams that include a mixture of professional staff, union labor, outside consultants, and subcontractors.Develops and updates schedules to ensure project resources are allocated appropriately.Supports sales efforts by taking part in estimating, cost reviews, and interviews for project proposals.Tracks, manages, and processes change orders on active projects.Ensures client expectations are met, and takes a lead role in developing client relationships.Takes an active role in technical functions, such as project engineering, programming, integration, system startup and commissioning, generation of BAS graphics, owner training, and project record documents.Establishes and maintains open communication with clients, business partners, and other internal stakeholders, in order to keep all essential project activities running smoothly.Assists with the development and improvement of related processes, procedures, and tools.Reinforces safe work practices, and ensures all safety requirements are adhered to, in accordance with the safety program of the Company.Participates in bi-weekly project cost reviews.

Under general direction, responsible for the design, configuration, and operation of complete building control systems including fire, security, and other low voltage control sub-systems (ie lighting, nurse call, data networks, etc) to meet the intent of the project requirements. Develops complex software programs, commissions and troubleshoots to ensure proper operations of the building control system. Provides detailed information and submittals to communicate design and operation to customers, consultants, Johnson Controls field installation team and subcontractors. PRINCIPAL DUTIES: • Designs and configures technically complex building control systems as defined by the contract documents. Creates flow diagrams, sequence of operations, and bill of material, network layouts and electrical schematics as required.• Develops and tests software programs necessary to operate the system per the intent of the project requirements.• Coordinates the creation of necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.• Selects, orders, and tracks the delivery of materials for assigned projects. Coordinates factory-mounting processes to meet factory and project schedule.• Assists in the loading and commissioning of all system and network-level controllers as required. Assists in validation of complete system functionality and troubleshoots problems with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation.• Provides field change information to the project team for the creation of as-built drawings and software.• Keeps management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues.• Assists in performing site-specific training for owner/operator on the total building control system.• Participates in release meeting with project field team. Performs value engineering to provide cost effective results while maintaining customer satisfaction.• Adheres to safety standards.

Under general direction, executes assigned equipment projects and ensures that assigned projects are executed profitably, accurately, on-time, within the scope of the contract and in alignment with customer expectations. Follows consistent and repeatable basic project management practices and follows the formal Johnson Controls equipment order execution process. Develops and provides detailed engineering information and submittals to communicate design, configuration, operation and installation requirements to customers, consultants, Johnson Controls service and necessary subcontractors. Works with the sales team to maintain an effective balance between customer satisfaction and project financial results. Although not the primary focus, supports the sales team by assisting with pre-sales activities on strategic District opportunities. Pre-sales activities include but are not limited to system configuration, engineered equipment selection and equipment pricing.
