Team Leader - Gas Mains Service Meter Fitter
Working within a two-man team to deliver new gas connections as per a daily work schedule and in line with Company expectations; often travelling to sites across the UK. Duties include organising and managing paperwork with accuracy and ensuring site risk assessments are carried out prior to commencement of each job. In addition, I am required to ensure the right tools, equipment and plant are used appropriately, communicate any anomalies or changes and maintain the required health and safety standards at all times. Undertaking physically demanding tasks including lifting, digging as per site plans and laying gas pipes.Skills and duties include:*Competent person - sco 1,2,5 qualified*Cut in live tee's with bypasses/rider*Saddle tee connections through valve Steel services house entry with steel work ( cutting and thread pipe with pipe vice ) *Worked on esp pipelines metropolitan sites*Commercial service's to kiosks *Below ground entry to valve *Blue box photo fusion weld procedures *Butt fusion welding *Worked along side Lv jointers as Cable laying assistant *Used workbook & gem system to mark up as laid & photo documentation of mains & service locations
