Extensive and varied experience of technology and innovation led sectors brings a holistic, yet detailed understanding of how to lead market change in demanding arenas.

I act as strategic advisor and IP/Innovation promoter and custodian for a global metals recovery business. Using a patented advanced electrolysis process Electrometals recovers gold, silver, nickel and copper for mines, refineries and recyclers worldwide.

I am responsible for strategy, acquisition and divestment in this private holding company that includes technology led SME's in its portfolio.

I advised on portfolio acquisition/divestment and investment management for a FTSE quoted venture capital trust with a portfolio of over 20 SME's.

I refocused the activity of this privately held conglomerate. Active in the Printing, Publishing and Retail sectors, a new emphasis on property development and retail strategies delivered improved shareholder value for this £60m turnover concern.

I diversified and grew the profit streams of this global Buildings Materials sector leader, consolidating its £1.5bn, FTSE 200 listed status. The group encompassed household brands such as Everest, Twyfords, Mira, Ideal, MK and Stelrad.

Working with products ranging from humble compost to the complex chemical compounds that constitute modern fertilizers and herbicides, I grew the sales and profits of this transatlantic market leading business - winning two gold medals at the Chelsea flower show in the process.

Led this golf technology business to threefold growth and improved profit margins. Won the Queens Award for Export Achievement.

During my time with this globally recognised brand the business introduced mountain bikes to the UK and launched the first electronic bike. I established the Burner BMX team and led the factory that built the bike on which Phil Anderson became the first non-European to wear the coveted yellow jersey in the 1981 Tour de France.

I oversaw the turnaround of a number of low growth businesses within this £2bn group. Resurrected Tower Housewares with the introduction of slow cookers and grey non-stick cookware, and revived TI Automotive via innovation in electronic car tuning.

I launched Bosch Power Tools in the UK via an innovative distribution policy that engaged emerging DIY multiples and focussed on Professional DIY positioning. My policy of exploiting power advantage and minimising cost disadvantage against sector competitors ultimately led Bosch to market leadership.
