  The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on the willingness of local communities to take responsibility for their local heritage and assist us with generating income for these wonderful buildings. My role is to encourage engagement of local communities to support and assist in managing their 'local church', identifying opportunties of use, potential funders for projects along with fund raising. My role plays a key part in ensuring that local people are engaged, recruited, trained and supported to care for all CCT churches, unlocking their potential as viable tourist attractions and/or community venues. Establish and develop links with local communities and agencies to understand the locality and its needs, and to promote CCT and its volunteer offerI recruit, induct and train volunteers across a defined geographical area.Build and support volunteer teams that will locally manage and sustain CCT’schurch estate and engage in fundraising for the Trust.Ensure volunteers act in accordance with CCT policies and proceduresrelevant to their activitiesEnsure that appropriate agreements are in place to confirm the nature of therelationship between volunteers/volunteer groups and the Trust Ensure volunteers and volunteer teams have the necessary skills, knowledgeand capacity to undertake the day to day management of CCT churches
