Once Yokogawa was selected several pilots were implemented at various BP facilities across North America. Mr. Mitchell was instrumental in the proposal, evaluation, and implementation stages involved for the entire project. The technology used was Yokogawa Stardom (RTU) and Fast/Tools (HMI) with all instrumentation tied into the system via Foundation Fieldbus. Responsible for developing Functional Design Specifications with respect to well control, RTU requirements, and Foundation Fieldbus implementation for BP NAG FEED project. Responsible for the design, implementation, commissioning and startup of the Stardom and Foundation Fieldbus systems for the following BP facilities: 8-well pad installation in Wamsutter, Wyoming; Dual well and single well installation in Noel Field, Dawson Creek, British Columbia; LCCF compressor control system, Longview, Texas; CP-300 field compressor for Noel Field, Dawson Creek, British Columbia.

Responsibilities include PLC and HMI configuration of a Siemens S7 Safety PLC and a Simatic MP270 touch screen HMI, FAT testing, and site commissioning and start-up. Enerflex – TPC LP Compressor Project – Yetagun Offshore Platform, MyanmarThe project required a redundant A-B PLC-5 system with a PanelView 1000 HMI to control a 1500 HP 2-stage reciprocating compressor. Responsibilities included FAT testing, site commissioning and start-up on the offshore platform. Centurion Petroleum Corp – South El Manzala Gas Field Development - Manzala, EgyptThe facility is an inlet compression and dehydration plant for natural gas. Responsibilities included PLC and HMI configuration of an A-B Logix5000 system (RSView was the HMI package), FAT testing, site commissioning and start-up. Renewable Environmental Solutions – Thermal Depolymerization Plant - Carthage, MissouriThe facility is a bio-chemical depolymerization plant which contains thermal reactors, centrifuge systems, and a coker unit. Responsibilities included site commissioning and start-up assistance of a Moore APACS DCS system for a 2 month period.

Responsibilities included development of P&ID’s and Instrument Index, preparation of inquiries, technical bid evaluations and purchases orders of conventional instrumentation equipment. Also, responsible for instrument sizing specifications and calculations and review of packaged equipment documentation. Total capital cost for entire project was approximately $65M.
