Management of a wide variety of environmental assessment and contaminated land remediation projects, with responsibility for all aspects of the project – budgeting jobs and writing proposals, organising fieldwork and subcontractors, soil and groundwater sampling, developing and implementing remediation strategies, writing reports, drafting figures, and invoicing.

During five years at the company I worked on a wide range of contaminated land assessment and remediation projects. In particular I gained expertise in petroleum hydrocarbon contamination assessment and remediation, working on projects all over NSW and occasionally in Queensland with clients including Shell, Mobil and Caltex. I was a member of the Safety Committee and developed a strong interest and background in safety. I was an organiser of the Social Club and managed Coffey’s World Vision child sponsorship program.

Duties included the direct supervision of around a dozen staff and indirect responsibility for over two hundred standards-setting markers, and the overall responsibility for delivering outcomes within strict deadlines relating to the results.
