During my 20 years with the NYPD, I also did residential construction on the side. When I retired from the NYPD I went into construction full time because I enjoyed working on homes and helping people. I even worked in dockbuilding for almost 5 yrs, mostly on docks and bulkheads damaged by Superstorm Sandy. I know full well the effect the hurricane had on Long Island homes. I pursued a career in Home Inspecting due to a need to help people better understand the investment they are about to make, as well as help those who are selling their homes. As a devoted father of two (son 19, daughter 15) I know the comfort that comes with not only knowing the structural issues of a home, but also any possible Safety Concerns which need to be addressed. I spent 4 years as the Facilities Manager at The Hamlet Golf & Country Club in Commack, New York. I am now the Director of the motorized shades department at Audio Interiors in Hauppauge, NY.
