I started off by working on the classified section selling digital and newspaper advertising to a variety of tradesman around the Surrey and Hampshire area. From there I progressed and was trusted with a greater responsibility dealing with all the restaurants and pubs in the Surrey/ Hampshire area. With the new responsibility my job role changed as I was selling into the main body of our newspapers (The Surrey Advertiser, The Surrey Times, StarCourier and Aldershot News & Mail series). Then we designed advanced digital advertising platforms which i presented to these clients to increase their annual advertising budgets (www.getsurrey.co.uk and www.gethampshire.co.uk). Also with this new role I was given the responsibility of writing small pieces of editorial for various restaurants and pubs to increase footfall and takeaway sales.From October 2013 - September 2014 I increased every single restaurant that advertised with us initial spend by at least 10%. I then brought in a great deal of new business and lapsed clients who stopped advertising with us years ago.

I was employed to wire and construct fire engines. My main duties involved wiring the main cab from start to finish, programming multiple systems including CAM, running wires through to the chassis, helping fitting various lighting etc. I now fully understand electrical schematics and used this knowledge to wire a fire engine from start to finish. Every fire engine was slightly different in one way or another so I was trained to build multiple models. The cabs I worked with were Scania, Volvo, MAN, Iveco, Mercedes and Unimog.

I used to work there taking orders over the phone and processing each item ready for collection or delivery. I also worked on the front desk dealing with customers showing them round either the shop or work yard. From here if I made a sale I would then finalize the deal by writing up the customers order then continue the process via a cash or card transaction using the till. Occasionally I carried out stock checks both in the store and work yard. After I unloaded lorries which contained various merchandise I had to position products strategically so a customer noticed sale items.
