Assisted clients with issues relating to export control (Department of Commerce), sanctions regulations (Department of Treasury), rules-of-origin requirements for federal contracts ("Buy America"/"Buy American"), and tariff classification (Customs and Border Protection). I will be returning to the International Commercial and Trade Group after I receive my law degree in May 2022.

The Commercial Law Development Program works with recipient governments of U.S. foreign aid to revise and improve aspects of their commercial laws. - During my full time internship, I had the privilege of working on projects for governments in the GCC, North Africa, the Levant, South Asia, and the Pacific Islands. - Substantively, my projects involved data privacy laws and artificial intelligence business development, national security exemption provisions for public procurement, the MENA ratification of the Singapore Convention on Mediation, associated natural gas utilization, and global regulatory responses to untrusted 5G vendors (such as Huawei and ZTE).

DMAX Foundation is an organization working to improve the mental health culture and environment on college campuses, primarily through DMAX Clubs at universities. I was appointed by executives at Booz Allen Hamilton, DMAX corporate sponsor and my then-employer, to represent the company on DMAX's Board of Directors.

Research Assistantship with Professor Emilia Justyna Powell, Associate Professor of Political Science and Concurrent Associate Professor of Law. Research focused on Islamic dispute resolution and constitutional analysis of the 60+ constitutions in that incorporate principles of Sharia. Created a qualitative dataset covering every single constitution incorporating Islamic law since 1945, which involved reading over 60 constitutions covering over 20 countries through the timeframe.
