I have gained a rich array of professional experience working for over 20 years with the Department for Work & Pensions. During this time I have acquired valuable skills in recruitment, customer support, social benefits and further support to vulnerable and complex needs customers.I have worked mostly in a Jobcentre environment helping customers into suitable jobs on the front line as an employment adviser but for the last 6 years I have also worked with colleagues at the local authority. My job as Supporting Families Employment Adviser has become ingrained with social services and key working services to support residents in the borough on state benefits to move into sustainable work or make progress towards work. I have also adopted much knowledge from other housing, council tax, youth offending and school participation teams and to employ these skills to be as effective as possible in my current role.
