Lead team to source, contract, negotiate and procure $1.5B annually in carrier capacity to support business demands across 8 UPS networks. Created an outside of the box solution to allow rates to allow monthly rate per mile pricing adjustments based on market indices, which ensured market-competitive pricing to maintain capacity and manage costs over time as the market evolved. Implemented and incorporated data and market analytics strategies into RFP process to reduce costs and/or manage increases in escalating markets. Crafted the first ever long term carrier contracts that replaced the annual RFP exercise with applicable providers to a market index rate adjustment, which avoided the challenges associated with annual negotiation that can jeopardize capacity and network consistency for both parties. Developed a formal quarterly business review process to strengthen supplier relationships and carrier accountability toward performance and cost metrics. Integrated Coyote and UPS networks and developed $100M in synergies post the Coyote Logistics acquisition to enable additional cost-competitive carrier capacity for UPS while increasing top and bottom line for the UPS enterprise partner, Coyote Logistics. Oversaw transition of contract and procurement processes post sale of UPS Freight to TFI.

Built the DirectShip model at that creates customized solutions for UPS shippers to reduce costs for UPS, enhance customer package time-in-transit, and lower costs for both SMB and Enterprise customers. These networks enabled UPS eCommerce growth by 10X. Developed the outside carrier transportation network to support this model that transports in excess of 125k loads/year and achieved 99.5%+ on time deliveries during my tenure.

Responsible for daily dispatch of over 300 drivers and managed the supervisory, administrative professionals, yard shifters associated with the arrival and departure of loads from the UPS Doraville facility. Worked cross-functionally with terminal operations leadership, planning groups and corporate transportation groups to support special projects and the vastly scaling holiday season needs. Worked with Teamster leadership to manage labor disputes.
