I have set up a new company called Individual Financial Services Ltd.I will continue to work in a similar way as I have in my previous business within IFS NW, that means I will continue to work with investments through to pensions, protection and mortgages including equity release..So why have I set this new company up?Well simply I wish to be able to specialise with all types of British Airways pensions, not just the final salary ones APS and NAPS but also the later Defined Contribution Scheme BARP and flowing that to design portfolios for latest one BAPP.I will continue to work with all clients as I have, offering the same area's but now have a new string to my bow.A string that sadly was just not possible within IFS NW.I seem to spend more time talking to crew, as an IFA, than I would if I had remained a CSD, its clear that we have a reputation of helping our clients to the right solutions, so vital in the area of retirement planning.

I had a wonderful time working for British Airways...Being paid to fly the globe as a young man, was truly an epic experience, in the days of long stop overs, like 18 day Mauritius etc .I had the pleasure of flying with some of the kindest and most wonderful people and am still friends with many of them.I was lucky to work for BA in what I feel was its heyday under Lord King and Sir Colin Marshall.I was promoted by a seniority system of promotion when I joined, I managed to move from a Steward to a First class Steward in relatively short order...Then BA changed the promotion system and it became a merit based promorion system and I was lucky to be appreciated by BA and was promoted first to Purser and finally to the highest flying job possible Cabin Service Director, in a single year.Despite enjoying my role as leader of the on board face of BA, life changed for me however, especially when I had my children.Again I had the opportunity to enter the field of Finance with IFS UK Ltd and IFS NW Ltd.It was a huge risk, but life offered me that chance and it was one that I feel in hindsight was worthwhile taking.
