Work in conjunction with the Seneca Nation Department of Education to carry out community needs and goals. Assisted in the origination of an on-site college education program, the creation of the Seneca Academy - an independent school initiative, and departmental organization and structuring.Coordinator, 1st Annual AIAN East Coast Cluster Meeting November 2008Polled, organized, and logistically assembled the first AIAN East Coast Cluster meeting for Native Head Start programs at the Seneca-Niagara casino. Worked with Training and Technical Assistance staff to assemble training to meet the needs of the programs in attendance. Consultant, AIAN Expert Consultation on the Head Start Performance Standards March 2008One of twenty-two consultants to the Administration for Children and Families on the Head Start Performance Standards in light of the Improving Head Start for School Readiness Act of 2007. Requested to participate as an expert in Program Design and Management to consult with federal staff and other content area experts from a Tribal perspective.

Recruited initially to stabilize the Seneca Nation Head Start program that was in jeopardy of loosing its funding for 80 Head Start slots. Working with staff, tribal leaders, and the community, instituted new policies and procedures while simultaneously finishing a 1.6 million dollar expansion and renovation project. In the first year, took program from 106 deficiencies to 18, in six years to zero deficiencies, creating one of the premier tribal Head Start programs in the country. Currently direct all operations of the Head Start program and assist in oversight of the preschool and after-school components, totaling over 90 staff between two Early Childhood Learning Centers located on the Cattaraugus and Allegany Territories, and serving over 250 children. Maintain relations between Seneca Nation Departments, Head Start Bureau, state, county, private and public service providers, the Seneca community and surrounding areas.Selected Results:Established programmatic direction and goals for the Head Start program, setting it on a track to become one of the best in the country.Introduced policies and procedures adopted by other agencies as standards of excellence.Created a tier system for teaching staff to increase retention and motivation for pursuing higher education.Sought research projects and initiatives to solve local issues and provide information to other programs in the process

Operates distance-learning equipment for the Seneca Nation Higher Education Program on the Cattaraugus Territory. Coordinate transmissions and scheduling with colleges, schools, and other entities for the purpose of training, conferencing, and class work. Worked with BOCES to troubleshoot and maintain system components as well as be a part of an advisory board to discuss the content and expand outreach possibilities to serve diverse populations through partnerships and curriculum sharing.

Provided academic assistance services to the Native American population within the Silver Creek Central School District, grades 6 through 12, all content areas. Created, organized and implemented cultural and educational enrichment programs during school breaks and throughout the summer.
